About the Pier Hotel

Established at the Jetty in 1905, the Pier Hotel sits on the south-east corner of High and Camperdown Streets and has long been one of the Coffs Coastโ€™s most recognisable and iconic landmarks.

In the early days, the hotel catered mostly for weary travellers, who journeyed by land and sea up and down the Coast, by providing a comfortable bed and place to enjoy a hearty meal.

It was also a favourite holiday destination for tourists from as a far afield as Bellingen and Dorrigo who came to enjoy all the attractions to the Coffs Coast had to offer.

Following the hotelโ€™s destruction by fire in December, 1914, the then proprietor Mr William E Mann rebuilt the hotel to cater for sea-loving visitors and for those who wished to contemplate a morning plunge in the sea.
